Classic Lasagna for 8

- 1 box (16oz) lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 jar (28oz) spaghetti sauce
- 1 container (16oz) part-skim ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 large tomato
- Shredded Cheese
DIRECTIONS
- 1.Preheat oven to 350
- 2.Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
- 3.In large skillet, cook groud beef, drain grease, stir in spaghetti.
- 4. In medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese and egg. Spoon 1/4 of the meat sauce over bottom of a 13x9 inch baking pan. Arrange the cooked noodles over the sauce, overlapping them slightly.
- 5. Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over nooddles;top with 1/3 of the shredded cheese. Spread more meat sauce over top.
- 6.Repeat layering(pasta,ricotta, mozzarella,sauce)with remaining ingredients, ending with meat sauce.
- 7. Cut the tomato into 1/4 inch thick slices.
- 8. Arrange tomato slices on lasagna.
- 9. Cover with foil and bake until bubbly, about 40 minutes.
