Coney Island Burgers
  • 1/2 pound bologna, cut in chunks
  • 4-5 slices american cheese
  • small piece of onion
  • 3-4 medium dill pickles
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • Mayonnaise
  • burger buns
  1. Grind first 6 ingredients in a food processer or grinder. Mix with enough mayonnaise to make spreading consistancy. Top split burger buns with generous amount of mixture and broil until brown and bubbly. Makes a great brunch or luncheon item.
Don't be put off by the ingredients; they really are very yummy and if you don't tell folks, they'll never guess and rave about them. The recipe came from my aunt, who served them to us for lunch once when I was a little girl. About 3-4 times a year, I get a wicked craving for these and HAVE to make them! No real measurement to this, so I'll guess on it for you.
