Cookie Cobbler

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups peaches or pears cut into chunks
  • 2 tab. brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tab. baking powder
  • 1/2 sp. salt
  • 1 cup flour
DIRECTIONS
  1. preheat oven to 400.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar.
  3. Add the eggs and Vanilla.
  4. Sift in the dry ingredients.
  5. Cut up the peaches and layer in a baking dish.
  6. drop spoonfuls of batter on top of fruit.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until brown and golden. This dessert is excellent with vanilla ice cream.
