Corned beef and cabbage dinner
INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: 8- 10
  • 3 carrots, peeled and thickly sliced
  • 3-lb. flat-cut corned beef brisket with seasoning packet
  • 1 can of your favorite beer
  • 1/2 to 1 head cabbage, cut into wedges
DIRECTIONS
  1. Arrange carrots in the bottom of a slow cooker; place corned beef on top.
  2. Sprinkle with one-quarter of seasoning packet contents; discard rest of seasoning.
  3. Pour beer over all.
  4. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours, or on high setting for 5 to 6 hours.
  5. Add cabbage wedges, pushing down to moisten. Cover; cook on high setting for an additional 2 to 3 hours.
  6. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
