Creamy Marinara Sauce
  • half a head of finely chopped garlic
  • 2-3 T of olive oil
  • 1 small can stewed tomatoes italian style
  • 1/4 c. tomato sauce
  • 1 t. of sugar
  • 2 T marscapone cheese
  • 1 t. dried basil, oregano or a few chopped leaves of fresh basil and oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. Cook garlic in olive oil until soft-- not browned. Add stewed tomatoes and simmer until slightly thick. Add tomato sauce and sugar. Season to taste and simmer to desired consistency. Add herbs.
  2. Mix in marscapone cheese until well blended. Toss with pasta. Works best with penne because the ridges hold the sauce better. Yum!
