Crescent Rolls Not From a Can
  • Cooking Time: 15
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 pkg active dry yeast or 2 tbsp. bulk yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup shortening or oil
  • 4+ cups flour
  1. Measure warm water and yeast into a mixing bowl, stirring to dissolve yeast.
  2. Mix yeast mixture with other ingredients until smooth. Scrape dough from sides of bowl, cover.
  3. Let rise until doubled. Shape into rolls.
  4. Roll out a ball about the size of a baseball and cut into 6-8 pieces (like a pie).
  5. Then roll from the wide end, place on greased pan, point underneath.
  6. Let rise until doubled. Bake at 400F for 12-15 minutes
