Crescent Rolls Not From a Can
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 15
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 pkg active dry yeast or 2 tbsp. bulk yeast
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup shortening or oil
- 4+ cups flour
DIRECTIONS
- Measure warm water and yeast into a mixing bowl, stirring to dissolve yeast.
- Mix yeast mixture with other ingredients until smooth. Scrape dough from sides of bowl, cover.
- Let rise until doubled. Shape into rolls.
- Roll out a ball about the size of a baseball and cut into 6-8 pieces (like a pie).
- Then roll from the wide end, place on greased pan, point underneath.
- Let rise until doubled. Bake at 400F for 12-15 minutes
