Crockpot Caramel Bread Pudding
INGREDIENTS
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 qt. Milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. Sprinkle brown sugar into bottom of medium sized slow-cooker.
  2. Butter 6 slices of white bread and then cut the bread into cubes.
  3. Spread these over the sugar.
  4. Sprinkle raisins over bread.
  5. In a bowl, beat 4 eggs until they are frothy.
  6. Stir in 1 quart milk, and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla. Pour this mixture over bread in the cooker. Sprinkle with cinnamon & nutmeg.
  7. Do not stir the mixture.
  8. Cover an turn on high, about 300 degrees.
  9. Let the pudding cook for 2 hours.
  10. When the pudding is done, spoon it into dishes and serve vanilla ice cream.
