Crunchy Peanut Butter Bars

  • 1 cup ( 2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups Jif extra crunchy peanut butter
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt.
  • 12 ounces premium dark chocolate chips.
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Butter a 17 x 11 baking pan
  3. Cream butter on medium high speed.
  4. Slowly add sugars and mix well.
  5. Beat in eggs.
  6. Add vanilla extract.
  7. Add peanut butter, beating until well mixed.
  8. Add flour, baking soda and salt, mix well.
  9. Spread in pre-buttered baking pan.
  10. Bake for about 25-30 minutes depending on how hot your oven gets.
  11. After removing from oven, let cool for a minute or so and then pour chocolate chips evenly over bars. Within a minute or so the chocolate will be melted and you can spread over the bars.
  12. Let cool. Eat. Enjoy!
