Cynthia's Rocky Road brownies

  • 1 c butter
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • pinch salt
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c flour
  • 2 c pecans, chopped
  • Frosting
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 1/3 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 4 c mini marshmallows
DIRECTIONS
  1. Grease and flour 9x12 baking pan
  2. Melt 1 c butter, remove from heat
  3. Stir together sugar, cocoa powder and salt
  4. Add sugar mixture to melted butter
  5. Stir in eggs and vanilla
  6. Add flour and pecans, stirring until completely combined
  7. Spread into baking pan
  8. Cook at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
  9. Sprinkle marshmallows over hot cake
  10. Let cake stand for 10 to 15 minutes, then spread frosting over
  11. When cool, cut into squares
  12. Frosting
  13. In medium saucepan, melt ½ C butter over low heat
  14. Stir in cocoa, then powdered sugar
  15. Add milk and stir until smooth
  16. Continue to add powdered sugar until frosting is thick enough to spread
