DRY CREAM SOUP MIX

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups dry milk powder
  • 1 Tbsp. dry thyme
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. dry basil
  • 1/2 cup dry boullion
  • 1 Tbsp. pepper
  • 5 Tbsp. dry onion flakes
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine all together and store in freezer in zip lock bag or plastic container.
  2. Use 1/3 cup of the mix with 1 cup water.
  3. Stir mix into the water and heat in microwave until it thickens.
  4. Use in casseroles or whatever recipe you would normally use cream soup.
  5. *replaces 1 can of cream soup called for in recipes.
  6. Can add chopped cooked vegetables for the soup if desired.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
This mix is used when you don't have a can of cream soup for a casserole or just want a can of soup to eat and don't have one on your shelf. You can add left over chicken or whatever to it. Marlene
