Daddy's Spaghetti Meat Sauce

INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 3.5 to 4 hours
  • 4 to 5 lbs ground chuck
  • 2 12 oz bottles of chili sauce
  • 2 12 oz cans sliced mushrooms
  • 2 30 oz cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 30 oz cans tomato sauce
  • 2 16 oz cans tomato paste
  • 2 tsp coarse ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp white vinegar
  • 4 cups water
  • 6 cups finely chopped onions (3 lbs onions)
  • 3 cups finely chopped celery (1 bunch celery)
DIRECTIONS
  1. Brown ground beef in small batches
  2. Drain ground beef to remove excess fat
  3. Combine all ingredients
  4. Stir well
  5. Cook over low heat for 3.5 to 4 hours
  6. Stir every 4 to 8 minutes.
