Diamond Bars

INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: about 27 minutes
  • Servings: 5 dozen bars
  • Preparation Time: 30 minutes
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and the brown sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Beat in the egg yolks
  3. Add the flour
  4. Mix well
  5. Spread into a greased 15 x 10 inch baking pan
  6. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown
  7. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips
  8. Bake for one minute longer or until the chips are melted
  9. Spread the chocolate over the crust
  10. Sprinkle with the walnuts and the coconut
  11. Cool on a wire rack
  12. Cut into diamond shapes
