Double Chocolate Cookies

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 plus 1/8 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 tbsp. butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 cup egg substitute
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a bowl, combine the first four ingredients. In another bowl, combine the butter, sugars, vanilla and egg substitue and mix well. Pour the wet ingredients into the flour mixture and mix just until moistened. Add chocolate chips and nuts (if desired). Use an ice cream scooper to drop cookies onto a baking sheet with parchment paper. Bake at 350F for 14min. or until tops begin to crack.
