Easy Macaroni and Cheese

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 pound macaroni
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups grated sharp cheese
DIRECTIONS
  1. Boil macaroni in water until tender; drain thoroughly. Add in butter
  2. and egg, stirring constantly so egg doesn't set up. Mix salt and
  3. mustard with 1 Tablespoon of water, then add to the milk. Add cheese
  4. to milk mixture, reserving enough to sprinkle on top. Pour macaroni
  5. into buttered casserole dish; add the milk mixture. Mix thoroughly
  6. and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until custard is set and
  8. top is crusty.
