Easy scalloped potatoes

- 1 1/2 LBS OF BAKING OR RED POTATOES
- 1 CUP OF HEAVY CREAM
- SALT
- PEPPER
- PAPRIKA TO SPRINKLE ON TOP
- 1 STICK OF BUTTER
- For another variation you can add diced ham and make this into a main dish.
DIRECTIONS
- Basic scalloped potatos with au gratin variation...
- 1 1/2 LBS OF BAKING OR RED POTATOES
- 1 CUP OF HEAVY CREAM
- SALT
- PEPPER
- PAPRIKA TO SPRINKLE ON TOP
- 1 STICK OF BUTTER
- Preheat oven to 350
- Peel and slice potatoes into rounds about 3/8 of inch thick. Mix cream, salt, pepper, in a bowl. Put potatoes in a buttered flat baking dish, then pour the cream, salt/pepper mix over them and sprinkle with paprika.
- Bake for about an hour, or till dish is bubbly and starting to brown, and potatoes are fork tender.
- Variation: add a layer of cheddar, manchego or fontina cheese before adding cream mix. Also you can add Parmesan cheese. YUMMM
