Easy scalloped potatoes
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 LBS OF BAKING OR RED POTATOES
  • 1 CUP OF HEAVY CREAM
  • SALT
  • PEPPER
  • PAPRIKA TO SPRINKLE ON TOP
  • 1 STICK OF BUTTER
  • For another variation you can add diced ham and make this into a main dish.
DIRECTIONS
  1. Basic scalloped potatos with au gratin variation...
  2. 1 1/2 LBS OF BAKING OR RED POTATOES
  3. 1 CUP OF HEAVY CREAM
  4. SALT
  5. PEPPER
  6. PAPRIKA TO SPRINKLE ON TOP
  7. 1 STICK OF BUTTER
  8. Preheat oven to 350
  9. Peel and slice potatoes into rounds about 3/8 of inch thick. Mix cream, salt, pepper, in a bowl. Put potatoes in a buttered flat baking dish, then pour the cream, salt/pepper mix over them and sprinkle with paprika.
  10. Bake for about an hour, or till dish is bubbly and starting to brown, and potatoes are fork tender.
  11. Variation: add a layer of cheddar, manchego or fontina cheese before adding cream mix. Also you can add Parmesan cheese. YUMMM
