Edible Cookie Bowl

  • 1 ¼ cups of all purpose flour
  • ½ cup of cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup of blanched, silvered almonds (finely ground)
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 4 tbsp of butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cover the outside of a loaf pan or metal bowl with foil. Spray with
  2. Vegetable cooking spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, almonds and salt.
  4. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer set on medium, beat butter, sugar,
  5. Egg, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture; beat until a dough
  6. Forms, about 2 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350* F. Roll dough out to 1/8 inch thickness. Using a 1 ½ inch
  8. Cookie cutter with a scalloped edge, cut out circles. Cover the pan or bowl
  9. With the cookie cutouts, overlapping slightly and lightly pressing together.
  10. Bake the cookie bowl until edges a firm, about 15 minutes.
  11. Transfer pan to wire rack to cool completely.
  12. To remove the cookie bowl lift it off the foil lined pan.
  13. Fill with cookies or candies!
