Eggplant and Halibut With White Miso Marinade

- 1/4 cup white miso
- 2 t lime juice
- 1 T sugar
- 2 T sake
- 1 t soy sauce
- 1 Japanese eggplant, sliced
- 1 pound halibut
- chopped green onion
- thinly sliced cucumber
- cooked rice
DIRECTIONS
- Whisk together miso, lime juice, sugar, sake and soy sauce; rub 1/3 sauce on sliced eggplant and the remainder on halibut. Cover; chill 30 minutes to 8 hours.
- Broil until eggplant is browned and soft and fish is browned and just cooked through. Serve over rice, sprinkled with green onion and cucumber.
