Fast Fried Rice

  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked instant rice
  • 11/2 cups hot tap water
  • 3/4 cup shredded carrots (about 2)
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine all ingredients in 2-quart casserole dish.
  2. Cover and microwave on medium-high for 6-8 minutes until rice is tender and water is absorbed.
  3. Remove from microwave. Let stand, covered, 5-7 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
