French Apple Tart
  • 1 stick unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar (plus one teaspoon for top of cake)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 granny smith apples
  1. Grease bottom of springform pan; set aside
  2. Combine flour, sugar, butter, baking powder & egg. Press onto bottom of springform pan (mixture will be sticky). Peel, core and slice apples, you want thin slices. From outer edge of pan, place apple slices in a circular pattern. Overlap them. Top with cinnamon and teaspoon of sugar..
  3. Bake 375 for 60 minutes. People go crazy over this. Easy and delicious.
