Fried Green Tomatoes
  • 3 or 4 nice sized green tomatoes, cleaned and cut into 1 1/2 inch slices
  • flour,
  • 2 eggs
  • a bit of milk
  • breadcrumbs
  1. Place the slices into flour, the place them into a mixture of 2 eggs and a bit of milk (mixed together).
  2. Then breadcrumb them and fry until golden brown on each side.
  3. After cooking, place on paper towels to drain and cool for 2 minutes.
  4. Salt and pepper to taste.
This recipie is very special to me because it brings back so many great memories of my childhood. My Aunt Marilyn lived upstate NY and I would visit every summer for a week. She always made fried green tomatoes that were SO good. As I got older I tried making them myself, but they were never as good. While recently talking to Aunt Marilyn, I got the recipie from her and made them. MMMMMMMMMMM
