Georgia's Beef Stroganoff

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 stick butter
  • 1-1 1/2 lbs stew beef, cut up into bite size
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1 cup sour cream
DIRECTIONS
  1. Brown onion and mushrooms in about 1/4 stick butter.
  2. Add meat, flour, mustard, tomato paste and beef consomme.
  3. Cook slowly over medium heat.
  4. Add sour cream and continue cooking but DO NOT BOIL.
  5. Cook until creamy like sauce.
  6. If too thick, add little water, if too thin, just slowly cook until right consistency or add a little flour.
