Georgia Peach Pound Cake
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp almond
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shopped ripe peaches
  • whipped cream optional
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan.
  2. In large bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well and add extracts
  3. In a small bowl mix flour and baking soda and add to creamed mixture.
  4. Fold in sour cream and add chopped peaches
  5. Next pour batter into pan and bake 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes our clean. Top with whipped cream when you serve.
