Giant Killer Cake
INGREDIENTS

  • cake:
  • 1 c butter
  • 1 c water
  • 4 TBSP cocoa
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c sour cream
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • frosting:
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 4 TBSP butter
  • 6 TBSP milk
  • 1 lb confectioner's sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. for cake:
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  3. Grease and flour jelly roll pan.
  4. Bring butter, water, and cocoa to a boil.
  5. Pour into a mixing bowl and add flour, sugar and salt. Beat well.
  6. Add eggs, sour cream and baking soda. Beat.
  7. Pour into a greased jelly roll pan (with sides).
  8. for frosting:
  9. Bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil. Add sugar, vanilla and chopped walnuts ( optional ); blend well.
  10. Frost cake while hot.
