Gingersnaps

- ¾ cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup molasses
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- Additional sugar
DIRECTIONS
- In a mixing bowl, thoroughly cream together margarine and sugar.
- Add egg and molasses; beat well.
- Mix in dry ingredients.
- Chill.
- Form into walnut-sized balls and dip into additional sugar.
- Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet at 350° for 12-14 minutes.
- Let cookies stand on sheet until they crack, then remove to cool.
