Gloria's pasta shrimp salad

  • 1 lb spaghetti, cooked in salted water and well drained
  • 1 8 oz bottle wishbone italian dressing
  • 1 c best foods mayo
  • 1 1/2 lb shrimp, poached and chopped into 1/4" pieces
  • 1/2 package frozen peas, cooked, well drained, and cooled
  • 1/2 c freshly grated romano cheese
  1. Mix cooked spaghetti with dressing, refrigerate overnight
  2. Mix mayo and cheese, blending well
  3. Mix with shrimp and peas
  4. Drain spaghetti of excess dressing, then toss with mayo, cheese, shrimp, and pea mixture
This is a fairly simple salad that I just had to add a few of my own touches to - it is from the wife of our reverend who was an amazing person and cook - who we lost to cancer about 10 years ago. I hope she approves of the few small changes I have made to update her classic salad
