Gooey Butter Cake

  • Crust:
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • Filling:
  • 1 lb. (4 cups) confectioner’s sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix cake mix, softened butter, 1 beaten egg with a spoon. Pat into a 9x13-inch pan.
  3. Mix cream cheese and remaining 2 eggs with an electric mixer. Slowly beat in confectioner's sugar. Pour over cake layer.
  4. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool.
