Grandma Mary's Chocolate Walnut Puffs

  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts (chopped pretty fine)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a cookie sheet.
  2. Melt chocolate over warm water - don't get water in chocolate chips.
  3. Beat egg whites with salt until foamy. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  4. Beat in vanilla and vinegar.
  5. Fold in melted chocolate and walnuts.
  6. Drop onto cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
