Grandma V's Cornbread

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2-1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
DIRECTIONS
  1. This recipe was made to be cooked in a cast iron skillet, I don't know how it would turn out in a pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together first then add liquids while beating with electric mixer.
  3. Pour into well greased cast iron skillet. Bake at 425 degrees
