Grandmother's Swiss Cheese and Noodle Side Dish (Spots)

  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 8 oz. Swiss Cheese (shedded or grated)
  • 16 oz. Wide Egg Noodles
  • 1 stick Margerine or Butter
  • Salt to Taste
  1. Boil noodles until tender.
  2. Sautee Butter and Onion.
  3. In large bowl, add or grate Swiss Cheese. Add hot noodles, add sauteed butter and onion and stir throughly. If cheese doesn't melt properly, microwave for a couple minutes and stir again.
  4. Note: A wooden spoon works best for stirring.
My Grandmother taught me this recipe when I was a child. I use as in place of potatoes with a steak dinner.
