Granny's Buttermilk Biscuits
INGREDIENTS

- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 Tbs melted butter
DIRECTIONS
- Place dry ingredients into a bowl.
- Cut in butter until it becomes crumbly.
- Add buttermilk and stir just until moistened.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface.
- Knead dough about 4 times (don't over handle or biscuits will be tough).
- Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cut out biscuits with biscuit cutter and place on lightly greased baking sheet.
- Brush tops with melted butter.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown in a preheated 450 degree oven. Makes 12 biscuits.
- Hint: For crispy biscuits make sure the biscuits don't touch in the pan, and for softer biscuits let the sides touch each other.
