Granny Beach's No Bake Cookies
  • 2 Cups of Sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 5 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups uncooked oatmeal (minute type is best)
  • 1 cup of chopped black walnuts
  1. In a large saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Boil 2 minutes, remove from heat. Add oatmeal and walnuts, and peanut butter.
  2. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper.
  3. Let cool and enjoy.
This is a little different twist to a much used recipe, by adding black walnuts. My grandmother started this as a Christmas tradition.
