Gravied Green Beans

  • 4 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1 envelope of brown gravy mix
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cans whole green beans, drained
  1. In a large skillet, fry the bacon until crisp. Remove to a paper towel to drain, reserving drippings in skillet. Add gravy mix, water, garlic powder and peppers. Stir well and bring to a boil. Add green beans and heat for 3 or 4 minutes. Crumble bacon on top and serve. Serves 4.
