Green Bean Almondine
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 lb. Fresh Green Beans (We use the Large Can of Green Beans too)
  • 4 Slices Crisp Bacon, Broken
  • 3 tbsp. Butter
  • 1/3 c. Minced Onion
  • 1/2 c. Sliced Almonds
  • 1 Clove Garlic - Minced
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Pepper
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a large pan, cook beans, seasonings and ham-hock in a little water; bring to a boil, then reduce heat; cover and simmer until beans are fork tender; drain off most of liquid; chop meat in small pieces; saute' onions in butter until transparent; add to beans; add almonds; toss lightly and serve.
  2. NOTE: I add the Bacon grease from Cooked Bacon. I also dont always add Almonds. Sometimes we like it without.

GREEN BEANS ALMONDINE - this is go greasy but good! Backstory: I altered this Recipe from one I found on a Recipe Site to fit our tastes. We only make this every once in awhile because its so fattening! Buts it sooo Good! You must SAVE this recipe
