Green Rice for Chicken (Rose Feldstein)
  • 1 C raw rice
  • Onion
  • Butter
  • Celery
  • Raw egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated American cheese (optional)
  • Parsley
  • Chicken (raw)
  1. Steam rice.
  2. Sauté onion in butter until soft but not brown.
  3. Can also use celery, sautéed until clear.
  4. Add celery to rice with the butter in skillet.
  5. Add raw egg.
  6. Then add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. May also add a little grated American cheese.
  8. Chop parsley fine.
  9. Put above under raw chicken and bake in greased pan.
