Grilled Asparagus
  • Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes grill time
  • Servings: 4-6
  • Preparation Time: 5 minutes
  • Asparagus, I prefer to purchase plump asparagus I don't care for pencil thin stalks.
  • olive oil
  • garlic salt or freshly ground sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  1. Wash asparagus. Line up so bottom stalks are even on your cutting board. Using a sharp knife cut off bottom quarter of stem and discard. Place a sheet of foil on your grill and lay out asparagus in a single layer. Sprinkle with olive oil and seasonings. Grill for a few minutes, turn. Keep grilling and turning until asparagus begins to slightly char around edges. Serve immediately.
In hot weather our family prefers to cook our entire meal on our gas grill outside, keeping the heat out of the house. Asparagus is especially good grilled.
