Guava Chutney

  • 1 large Ripe Guava finely cut
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Chilly flakes
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 clove
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 2 TBsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 - 1 cup water
  1. In a Heated non stick skillet, add the sugar, water, whole spices and the guava pieces - bring to a boil.
  2. Stir continuously on medium heat and cook till the guava pieces are tender and the liquid reaches a sticky consistency. Garnish with finely ground and freshly roasted cinnamon powder and lemon juice.
This is a pretty unique recipe with indian spices rich in vitamins and nutrients. This can be made quickly and is a crowd pleaser.
