HAYASHI'S CELERIAC AND CARROT KIMPIRA
INGREDIENTS
  • ½ Celeriac - remove all the black skin and shred
  • 2 Carrots - peel and shred
  • ¼ Cup soy sauce
  • ¼ Cooking Japanese sake
  • 3 table spoon sugar
  • Spoonful honey
  • 3 table spoon sesame oil
  • Shichimi pepper (Japanese chili mix) (optional)
  • 3 table spoon vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1. Heat vegetable oil in a large saute pan. Add shredded celeriac and carrots. Cook until soften.
  2. 2. Add sugar, soy sauce, and cooking sake. Cook a few more minutes.
  3. 3. Add sesame oil and Shichimi pepper if you would like it spicy.
  4. 4. After cooling down to let sauce absorb, the taste becomes better.
