Habanero Fritters
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 cup s Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar
  • 8 Habaneros
DIRECTIONS
  1. *Blend all ingredients until well mixed
  2. *Add more flour, if necessary, to make batter consistency
  3. *Use small melon baller to make scoops and fry in 375 degrees until golden brown
  4. Recipe Tips:
  5. *Place fritters on wax paper and place in freezer for 5-10 minutes before frying - helps keep them together better

"Inspired by the Great Balls of Fire from Salvador Molly's. First time I made this I used 16 habaneros and only a few could eat them, The next time I used 8 and while still quite hot, more people could enjoy them. I generally use 6-7 for a small kick that nearly anyone can eat. To make them comparable to the Great Balls of Fire, use 30 habaneros." ~ Judy
