Herbed Shrimp Dip

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb uncooked large shrimp, unpeeled
  • 2 green onions, coarsely chopped
  • 2 TBSP chopped fresh tarragon
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp hot pepper sauce
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. Bring medium saucepan of lightly salted water to boil.
  2. Add shrimp and cook just until bright pink, about 3 minutes.
  3. Drain; rinse under cold water.
  4. Peel and devein shrimp; transfer to food processor.
  5. Add green onions, shallot, and tarragon;
  6. Using on/off turns, process until shrimp are finely chopped.
  7. Transfer shrimp mixture to medium bowl.
  8. Mix in mayonnaise and sour cream, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.
  9. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  10. Cover and chill at least 2 hours
