Holiday Princess Cookies

  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 Cup 2% Milk
  • 1 Stick of Butter, Softened
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla extract or imitation
  • 1 Cup of White Chocolate Chips
  • 12 crushed peppermints
  • 1 Bowl of Powder Sugar (for rolling)
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat your Oven to 350 degrees
  2. Sift Flour, Baking Soda and Baking powder in a large bowl. Add everything else but the chips and peppermints and blend well.
  3. Knead in your chips and peppermints into the dough and roll out to 1/4 inch.
  4. Cut into shapes or roll into balls and cover in powder sugar. Place on cookies sheet about 1 inch apart on parchment paper.
  5. Bake fore 10 minutes and let stand 2 minutes in pan before moving to cooling rack

I created this recipe for a christmas party. I wanted to bring something memorable to the table and I started with a Paula Deen Southern Tea Cake recipe as the base and went from there :) Enjoying these delights make you feel like royalty
