Homemade Taco Sauce

  • 1 6-ounce can tomato paste
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 tbsp white vinegar
  • 3 tbsp finely minced jalapenos
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine the tomato paste with the water in a medium saucepan and whisk until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Heat mixture over medium-high heat until it begins to boil. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat. When sauce has cooled, poured it into a mason jar and refrigerate. Makes 3 cups.
