Honey Garlic Chicken

  • - 2 teaspoons garlic powder, to season
  • - 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • - 1/3 cup honey
  • - 1/4 cup water (or chicken broth_
  • - 2 tablespoons rice wine, apple cider, or white vinegar
  • - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • - 2-3 tablespoons of sriracha (optional)
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder; set aside
  2. 2. Heat a pan or skillet over medium high heat
  3. 3. Sear chicken thigh fillets on both sides until golden and cooked through (cook time will vary depending on stovetop and thickness of chicken)
  4. 4. When chicken is done and cooked through, arrange skin-side up in the pan (if cooking with skin)
  5. 5. Add the garlic between the chicken and fry until fragrant (about 30 seconds)
  6. 6. Add honey, water, vinegar, soy sauce, sriracha (optional)
  7. 7. Increase heat to medium-high and continue to cook until the sauce reduces down and thickens (about 3-4 minutes)
  8. 8. Garnish with parsley and serve over vegetables, rice, pasta, or shred (maybe add some cheese) as a sandwich, salad
