Hot Fudge Sauce

  • 1 c. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 1 stick butter, but in pieces
  • 1 T. vanilla
  1. In a saucepan whisk together cocoa and sugar. Turn heat on to medium and slowly whisk in heavy cream, mixture will be very thick. As it heats stir in butter. When it starts to bubble around the edges stir in vanilla. Sauce should be quite hot. Remove from heat to cool. Pour into a clean mason jar. Store in fridge, where it will become solid. To use, spoon out the amount you need and microwave it for 10 seconds, stir and repeat two more times before using as Hot Fudge Sauce.
Fudge sauce is so addicting and so easy to make with simple pantry staples, why would you ever buy store bought sauce full of chemicals?
