Hummus

INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: 4-6
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 2 rounds pita bread
  • carrots
DIRECTIONS
  1. Peel and slice garlic
  2. Place chickpeas, garlic, salt, and water in a blender and blend for 1 minute. Scrape down sides of blender and blend again. Add tahini, olive oil, lemon juice and blend another minute.
  3. Scrape the sides of the blender and pour into a serving bowl.
  4. Serve with pita wedges and carrots.
