Icecream Cone Brownies
  • Cooking Time: 30 to 35
  • Servings: 12
  • 12 flat bottomed icecream cones
  • 1 (21 to 23 ounce) boxed brownie mix
  • 1 6oz package of chocolate chips
  • 3/4 stick of soft butter
  • candy sprinkles
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place cones in muffin tins or on a baking sheet. Prepare brownie mix according to packaged directions.
  3. Spoon batter into cones till 3/4s full.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes until tops have risen above the rims of the cones and cracked.
  5. Remove from oven and cool to room temp.
  6. Frosting: Melt chips and butter.
  7. Mix until smooth.
  8. Dip tops of cones in chocolate.
  9. If not well covered, dip a second time.
  10. Stand cones upright and sprinkle with candy sprinkles.
  11. Let stand at room temp until chocolate hardens.
One of my kids favorite treats. They had limited taste and didn't like to entertain anything exotic. I got this recipe from an old Home Cooking pamphlet. My kids and their friends liked these better than any other treats I made. lucas hess
