Independence Cake
  • Cooking Time: 40 minutes at 350F
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix and prepare according to directions
  • Chopped pecans
  • Coconut
  • Powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Grease and flour 9x13 inch metal baking pan (don't use a foil disposable pan)
  3. Sprinkle coconut and pecans in the bottom of the pan.
  4. Mix cake according to directions and pour into pan.
  5. Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and melted butter.
  6. Spoon cream cheese mixture in piles (dollop) over top of the cake.
  7. Bake at 350F for 40 minutes.
