Italian Dressed-up Stew

  • 2 pounds beef, cubed
  • 1 - 8oz zesty Italian dressing
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes, quartered
  • 8-10 canned biscuits
  • parmesan cheese
DIRECTIONS
  1. Marinate beef in dressing for 1 hour in frig. Drain, reserving dressing. Brown beef in oven-proof skillet in 1 tablespoon butter.
  2. Add 2 cups water to dressing and pour over beef.
  3. Cook, covered, for 1 hour.
  4. Add carrots, potatoes and celery.
  5. Cook until tender.
  6. Top with biscuits and bake in a 400 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
