Italian Slow Cooker Meatballs- By Jill Rooney

  • Cooking Time: 6-8 hours in slow cooker
  • Servings: 8

  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1/2 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 TBSP italian seasoning
  • 1 TSP Garlic Powder
  • 1 Small can tomato paste
  • 2 large jars of your favorite spaghetti sauce
  • 2 TBSP shredded parmesan
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
DIRECTIONS
  1. Pour both jars of sauce into slow cooker and cook on low
  2. Mix all other ingredients together (except shredded parmesan and parsley) in a large bowl
  3. From mixture, form meatballs by hand and place each carefully into sauce one at a time.
  4. Cook in crockpot on low 6-8 hours
  5. Remove from slow cooker and top with shredded parmesan and parsley.

This was my Italian Grandma's recipe. We always celebrated Christmas Day with Grandma's Italian food.
