Italian Tomato Sauce

INGREDIENTS
  • Sauce:
  • 1 12-oz can tomato paste`
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 29-oz can tomato puree
  • 1/2 c. Sugar - 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 1/2 quarts tomato juice
  • Small hand full fresh oregano
  • Meatballs:
  • 1 1/2 lbs. Ground round
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 c. Domestic Romano cheese
  • 1 c. Fresh bread crumbs
  • Salt - Pepper
  • 2 T fresh Italian parsely
  • 2-3 dashes onion powder or green onions
DIRECTIONS
  1. Sauce:
  2. Saute and add: 1 medium onion & 2 cloves garlic
  3. Simmer for two hours or more, then add small hand full of fresh sweet basil
  4. leaves.
  5. Meatballs:
  6. Ball and add to bubbling sauce and cook until done. (Another two to three hours.)
