Jans Deli Style Shrimp & Crab Salad
  • 1 (16 oz. pkg.) imitation crab meat, chopped, rinsed and dried well
  • 1 lb. small to med shrimp, peeled, deviened and cooked
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 3-4 celery stalks, chopped small
  • Best Foods/Hellmans mayonnaise, enough to bind (start with 1/2 cup)
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  1. Just mix everything in a bowl; cover and put in refrigerator for a couple of hours to get nice and cold then either eat as a salad or spread on crackers. If the crab is too wet the mayo will not mix well. I buy the already cooked and cleaned small to med shrimp. If green onions are thin I use the whole bunch.
This is my T&T recipe although I never called it a recipe. I just sort of throw it all together so here it is. Oh yes, this is really good spread on Ritz crackers too. The amounts of green onion and celery are approx. amounts to your taste.
